Title: Senior Director of Product Management
Location: Bangalore, India


The Director of Product Management for Media Products will be an innovative thinker and strategic planner who will manage content feed onboarding and the portfolio of products being developed and supported by our Bangalore engineering team. This position involves cross-business-unit coordination and leading a team of product managers to create, prioritize, and deliver against a strategic product roadmap.

Key responsibilities include gathering and synthesizing product requirements from internal and external sources, driving product strategy and roadmap development, and executing against the roadmap to deliver a great user experience. Success for you will be to delight our customers by enabling world-class, innovative product capabilities across the portfolio of Media Products sourced from Bangalore.

The ideal candidate must be capable of managing many critical projects with multiple stakeholders and focusing on details while not losing sight of the big picture. Successful Yahoo! product managers have great interpersonal and relationship-building skills as well as keen analytical and strategic minds. The candidate must be self-motivated, persistent and a consummate team player.

Key responsibilities include:
• Manage the funnel and work queue for content partnerships and feeds work
• Lead and drive product management and planning process for several products within the Media Products group; ensure that group initiatives are correctly scoped, designed, built and launched on time and within budget; collate and prioritize product requirements; write formal and well-structured PRDs
• Outline and rationalize key goals, strategy and tactics, and roadmaps
• Communicate and evangelize the group’s strategy to senior management, leadership teams and internal stakeholders
• Execute the roadmap ensuring the team hits major milestones – responsible for delivering the product roadmap including key project management tasks

Desired Skills & Experience

Candidate should be working as Product Manager and Senior product manager before moving to Director role.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
• Strong leadership and team building skills including the ability to generate product concepts that add significant improvement to current capabilities
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional groups and drive decision making
• 7+ years domain experience in with internet and web products
• 12+ years product management experience, preferably in the above domain
• Experience in leading Product Management teams for global/multinational products and working with geographically distributed teams
• Deep Product Management process knowledge and a proven track record using these skills to develop and manage products through the entire product life cycle; experience with Agile development preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated success in delivering product on time and on budget
