Product Manager – Renewable/Solar - Schneider Electric - Gurgaon

Designation: Product Manager – Renewable/Solar Grid Business

Experience: 6 to 8 years in the position of Marketing or Sales of Renewable/Solar Business.

Area of Operation & Location:  All India/ Delhi/Gurgaon.

Qualification: Bachelor/ Diploma in Electrical, Electronics or Energy Engineering (A MBA/ PGDBM or equivalent degree shall be given preference).

Purpose of the position
i.e. Mission:

   1. Generate profitable growth and increase Renewable/Solar Grid Business market shares in his area of responsibility by using all marketing levers.

   2. Manage the CCO of the Renewable Grid Business activity in India in line with targets set by RENBU.

   3. Manage the Grid Business offer roadmap and launches, as well as dedicated marketing communication budget.

   4. Increase customer satisfaction and make sure that this is seen by the market as one of the differentiating factor vis-à-vis competition.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Offer marketing:

    - Managing the Grid Business Offer of Renewable (Solar) offer introduction in the Country.

    - Analyze applications, market and customer needs for future products.

    - Prepare monthly reports and updates for R& D and PM, regarding changes in local requirements/standards/norms and regarding new market trends.

    - Communication interface for regional sales: answering questions, discuss new requirements with utilities (technical back-up for regional sales)

    - Product benchmarking / competition analysis.

    - Participation in groups for standardization and grid utility requirements for solar inverters.

    - Promotion and presentation during customer visits, participation to trade shows •

    - Close cooperation with sales, marketing and R& D develop strategies for future roadmap, price creation and marketing activities

    - Considering feedback from regional sales, hotline / repair department, marketing / trade shows

    - Drafting specifications for different markets and regions, definition of technical and commercial targets

    - Responsible/ accountable of the pricing positioning and consolidated margin (CCO) optimization for the Grid Business offer in line with RENBU central marketing guidelines.

    - Monitor the competition and analyze competitors offer positioning.

    - Propose to the RENBU Activity product evolutions to answer market needs or future trends, service & logistic optimization.

    - Identify offer gaps; define product adaptation needed for specific applications.

    - Propose and monitor the Grid Business (Solar) logistic offer, elaborate stock recommendation for Distribution partners, and manage minimum level for direct sales including added-value services.

2) Business development:


    - Identify and propose the best accessible segments, channels, price policy and action plans to profitably grow the Grid Business (Solar) activity.

    - Define and drive sales efforts (nb of visit, targeted customers) based on customer plat forming method for direct sales, combined with support to channel requirements.

    - Ensure that all relevant actors (sales, CCC, technical support, distributors, System Integrators) are properly trained on the offer and have the right tools.

    - Visit customers to understand their needs and applications, to promote and sell Grid Business offers.

3)  Marketing communication:

    - Manage/ update the technical & commercial documentation/ argumentation on the different databases (together with country webmaster or data master).

    - Create and manage his dedicated Grid Business marcom plan and budget for the India in line with RENBU communication manager.

    - Implement and monitor in the country Grid Buinsess marketing communication plan.

Main performance indicators:
 - Sales – Turnover – Revenue.             
 - Profitability (CCO and Delta P).
 - Market share.                 
 - Quality, budget and implementation of marketing plans.   

Qualifications:

    - Value added marketing skills required

    - Experience sales/marketing in the Solar industry preferred.

    - Experience sales/marketing PV inverters preferred.

    - Experience sales/marketing to the utility industry preferred.

    - Ability to qualify opportunities, identify key decision makers and close business with little supervision

    - Skilled at time and to support the sales team deployed in the regions.

    - Practical experience/exposure on an installation of PV systems is preferred

    - Self-management and administration capability

    - Self driven and highly motivated, extrovert team player

    - Open for new experiences and cultures
