The role: Marketing Manager, Consumer Marketing (Google+) As a Marketing manager, you are a fully dedicated business leader, shaping the future of one of our many Google products. Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. The role enables you to shape the product development process, organize product launches from beginning to end and form future marketing strategy.
Responsibilities:
  • Determine the marketing strategy for one or more of Google's productsSearch, Chrome, Google+ and Mobile.
  • Develop high-impact marketing campaigns to drive adoption, increase usage of these products amongst Indian users through online, offline and partner co-marketing campaigns. Define and measure campaign impact through internal dashboards and/or commissioned research.
  • Work across internal cross-functional teams to develop & execute programs that increase the accessibility, relevance and preference of these products. Also, identify, develop, codify and share launch marketing best-practice processes across teams, functions and countries.
  • Interact with agency partners to develop innovative & impactful programs.
  • Keep the Google brand fresh, innovative, relevant and loved in India. Minimum Qualifications:
    • BA or BS Degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant work experience) Preferred Qualifications:
      • 5 years of experience in consumer marketing, and 3 years post MBA. Experience in product/ brand marketing, marketing program management, consumer research and 2 years of experience in digital marketing across Search, Display & Social.
      • Demonstrated capability of breakthrough and innovative thinking while developing marketing strategy & programs.
      • Strong performance in prior roles delivering outstanding creativity & execution while multi-tasking.
      • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural, global environment.
      • Excellent analytical, quantitative skills and an overall comfort with numbers
