Reporting to     Vice President Operations 


Purpose of Department


Supply Management Operations deals with Procure to Pay functions that include Accounts Payable, Purchasing and IT Asset Management and BuySmart Helpdesk.   The vacancy is in the Accounts Payable area catering to more than 12 entities.


Job Description


    * Acquire complete understanding of Accounts Payable process that includes accounting, processing of payments, certifications of Reconciliations of accounts and reporting.

    * Drive behavior through the management team on all key Operational parameters.

    * Analyse business trends to optimize resource utilization and manage competitive performance against Performance Level Agreements.

    * Effectively manage execution of new migrations.

    * Lead and facilitate the development of teams and individuals in the department with particular focus on direct reports.

    * Motivate a team of individuals with varied aspirations working in a challenging environment.

    * Build and maintain professional relationships with the Business Partner and cater to changes in expectations.

    * Pre-empt and effectively manage attrition in the department in line with the department goals.

    * Be a team player and create a cohesive team with esprit de corps.

    * Manage the operational risk for the department in line with the Global Resourcing and Business Partner expectations.

    * Identify trends and take appropriate corrective action in a timely manner.

    * Undertake transparent objective based decisions with the overall interest of the business and the team.

    * Internal controls: Maintain regulatory and internal control standards, including the timely implementation of audit points and to manage operational risk, including its identification, assessment, mitigation and controls, loss identification and reporting in accordance with the Group's Operational Risk framework.

    * Management of operational risk: To continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business.

    * Compliance: To implement the Group Compliance Policy by maintaining compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Department

Skills/Experience Required

    * Post Graduate in Commerce with experience in Supply Chain Operations in the Finance or Accounts Payable domain for a min of 5 years or Commerce graduate with experience of 8 to 10 years.

    * Good prioritizing, planning and organizing skills.

    * Relationship building with business partners and colleagues.

    * Decision making backed by objectivity in a complex operations environment.

    * Minimize operational risk through implementation of audit control and compliance requirements.

    * Should have led, managed and developed a large team of Managers and CSE’s in a challenging operational environment.

    * Analytical reasoning and problem solving ability.

    * Team player contributing to the cohesiveness of the department.

    * Effective communication skills – Verbal and written.

    * High employee satisfaction and retention within the team.
