Marcom Manager- CSMB- Dell India Sales.

Individual Contributor Role

Summary The Marketing Consultant focuses on the external customers in their assigned segments. Selecting appropriate targeted messages and mediums to drive segment specific behavior. Marketing Communications builds awareness of the different services within the company. The position is designed to drive revenue into the business while building internal/external credibility of service offerings. Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing strategic projects for marketing communications, advertising, and promotional programs to promote the sales of Dell services offerings. Works with segments on communicating messages within their companies. Works with Segment to support target focused segment sales, helping the Segment to attain quarterly marketing plans. Also has a focus on external communication. Additionally, build credibility with customers and sales people, applying knowledge of customers, computing environments, services market, and the sales process into many marketing communications tactics.


Principal Accountabilities

 - Plan project schedule and strategies to ensure development, production, and completion of marketing programs, including product launch announcements to ensure successful execution of product launching Dell Mobiles handsets.

 - Plan, recommend, design, coordinate, and track strategic demand generation programs.

 - Develop, analyze, and recommend evaluation process that identifies strategic advantages, competitive  programs and customer needs.

 - Focus on creating new selling approaches for services, as well as, providing easier sales best practices  to up sell services.

 - Provide sales support for services demand generation programs with Segments and Product groups.

 - Determine appropriate vehicle for message and audience (marketing communication piece).

 - Conduct concept presentation with the agency to provide direction.

 - Manage photo shoot production process.

 - Manage inputs for content of communication (ARB, Dellhost, Legal, Brand, DFS, Marketing Ops., Services, Co-Marketing).

 - Get single most compelling idea (targeted for specific MARCOM audience) from Brand and communicate to agency.

 - Incorporate corporate strategy and brand.

 - Conduct review cycles with content experts.

 - Provide creative input to agency on layout, positioning, colors, Dell look and feel.

 - Work with database manager to determine mailing list.

 - Work with database manager/agency to assign/route 800 numbers.

 - Work with research manager to conduct focus groups for new and/or existing MARCOM.

 - Leverage MARCOM pieces produced in other segments and produce original pieces as needed.

 - Manage production through vendor.

 - Procure 3rd party funding for specific initiatives via co-marketing function.

 - Manage overall budget.

 - Manage funding guidelines via co-marketing.

 - Provide proof of performance to funding partners via co-marketing function.

 - Process invoices.

 - Conduct briefing with agency on products and merchandising (Transactional ¡V monthly).

 - Manage contracts with agency/vendors.

 - Serve as point person for advertisers calling in to Dell.

 - Identify ways to enter the market.

 - Improve efficiencies of processes (either drive cost out or increase response rates).

 - Evaluate mediums used (ROI).

 - Conduct competitive analyses.

 - Work with agency or team to set advertising strategy.

Scope

 - Interactions normally involve matters between functional areas, segments, sales people, and/or customers.

 - Receive and/or share information, explain, train, and/or coordinate with peers, functional groups, staff and management within and outside the department.

Complexity

 - Receive assignments in the form of objectives and establish goals to meet objectives.

 - Create/maintain marketing tools, collateral, website content, maintenance of existing material/content, sales training.

 - Make business decisions on own; unguided on day-today responsibilities.

 - Involved in process design.

 - Identifies and resolves standard problems on own; requires some assistance in resolving unique issues.

 - Projects are more interrelated across the segment, with responsibility for multiple communications.

 - Strategic impact in setting priorities for the category and designing production process (es).

Knowledge & Skills

 - Knowledge of business and marketing strategy, concepts tools and techniques, including promotions, direct mail, customer relations, and advertising.

 - Verbal and written communication skills; PC and organizational skills; good presentation and project management skills.

 - Leadership competencies (command, problem solving, decision making) and builds effective teams.

 - Knowledge of computing environments and relevant services.

 - Experience with eCommerce or b2b email

Experience

Overall experience- 8+ years

 - 4-6 years previous Marketing Communications experience preferred.

 - MBA from Premier B School + 8 yrs experience
