As part of our Communications, Media & Entertainment (CME) team, you will work with the biggest brands in telecom and media sector. You will be part of a team that is helping our clients transform their business and IT operations. In addition to serving clients, you will be called upon to develop other key skills on your journey to becoming a leader, including business and staff development, thought leadership, and firm building.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform external competitive benchmarking and analysis.
- Work with client company’s financials to develop business cases, perform ROI calculations, and develop capital budgets.
- Develop strategies to launch new digital products and services for our telecom service provider clients, with focus on consumer lifestyles, persona development, digital marketing and retailing strategies, ecosystem strategies, social merchandising
- Perform Business Process Improvement using various business consulting tools and methodologies.
- Work with cross-functional client teams to perform gap analysis and identify improvement options.
- Work with senior technical architects from Infosys Technologies to define and create technical solutions.
- Create detailed action plans that include organizational change management, resource planning, competitive strategies, and alliances to embark on a new strategic direction and to enable successful deployment of solutions.
- Capture best practices and add to firm’s knowledge management initiatives.
- Supervise junior staff including Analysts and Associates.
- Competency - Proficient in consulting methodologies, key technologies, engagement support tools and have recognized expertise within competency area and/or industry.
- Industry expertise- Candidates with strong industry experience (mobile service providers, media companies, advertising companies, innovative ISVs and product companies).
- Ability to lead small to medium size teams.
- Gather facts (through research, interviewing, surveys, etc.), analyze the client's business, draw conclusions, prepare final reports, and give presentations.
- Relationship Management - Ability to establish working relationships with key client personnel.
Qualities, Experience and Skills
- Requires MBA or Post-Graduation preferably in Telecom Management.
- 5-10 years of industry experience in telecom markets (wireless/wireline operators, ISVs, Consulting, Wireless, Mobile VAS, Mobile Product Launch, Digital Products & Services, Customer Analytics, Business Process Design, Operations Planning, Application Ecosystem, Mobile Application Strategy)
- Candidates with strong telecom background (mobility or converged services, next generation products, service and customer care operations, technology, customer experience) will be considered
- Good exposure to digital consumer strategies, applications and services
- Experience with management of digital ecosystems and supply chains e.g. ISVs, commerce partners, and advertising and media partners
- Experience in digital marketing/retailing strategies and campaigns
- Strong knowledge of wireless value-added products & services, IP-based wireline technologies, processes (Concept to Market, Lead to Cash, Trouble to Resolve) and industry packages.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills are a must.
- Prior experience of working in large consulting organizations is desirable
- The candidate should have a good understanding of industry trends, challenges, business and technology imperatives etc.
- Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team
- Ability to interact at all levels of clients’ organizations
- Willingness to travel
