Job profile
Job Family summary
Coordinates the daily activities within the factory. Manages operations processes and the management of people. Ensures attainment of level of production and activities on an hour-to-hour, daily, monthly and yearly basis.

Principal Accountabilities
   
 - Provides managerial leadership, coaching/feedback and development for direct reports and business partners.
 - Ensures the effective management of activities for area of responsibility.
 - Responsible for quality and production level for area.
 - Reports and presents activities, issues and recommendations to senior management and executives.
 - Ensures appropriate controls are in place for effective operations within area of responsibility.

Scope
Responsible for managing multiple areas on the factory floor.

Complexity
   
 - Autonomous in decision making for area of responsibility.
 - Projects and initiatives are more strategic in nature.
 - Manages lower level Operations Managers.
 - Develops safety/quality/velocity metrics.
 - Identifies and drives opportunities for process improvements.
 - Responsible for making recommendation and presentations to senior management.
 - Manages both exempt and nonexempt employees.

Education/ Experience/Knowledge & Skills

Education
B.E/ B.Tech

Experience
8 to 10 yrs of related Exp. (Atleast have 3 to 6 direct reportees)

Knowledge & Skills
   
 - Strong understanding of production and/or materials operations.
 - Advanced multitasking skills and ability to manage change
 - Strong knowledge in lean manufacturing principles. Implementation will be added advantage.
 - Knowledge on ERP systems in production area.
 - Ability to handle challenging IR climate.
 - Advanced detail orientation skills.
 - Significant focus on business process improvement.
 - Superior communication skills.
 - Advanced knowledge of general business.
 - Possesses knowledge, skills and abilities required to resolve most issues referred by subordinate staff
 - Ability to coach and mentor team members.
 - Knowledge of planning and forecasting techniques.
 - Proven ability to manage a department or a group with multiple disciplines.
 - Understands and ability to drive budgeting process.
 - Strong financial acumen.

Pay will be in line with market (depending on experience)
